Agricultural Processor (KONA)

Want to kick-start an exciting career in strengthening Hawaiʻi’s food security and the viability of farming in the islands?

The co-op’s agricultural processors are the lifeblood of our operations team, and manufacture products made from our farmer’s crops including ‘ulu, kalo, ‘uala, pala‘ai and more. They are responsible for carrying out procedures, policies and following the instruction and guidance of supervisors and management in a food manufacturing environment.

Reports to: Honalo Facility Operations Manager

Location: 79-1017 E Honalo Rd Kailua-Kona, HI 96740

Recruitment: On-going

Part-time and full-time positions are available at our Honalo marshaling yard in Kailua-Kona. Typically, July through November is our peak ‘ulu harvest season and flexible work schedules are possible during off-season months. This position has the potential for growth in supervisory, administrative and/or management roles.

Position Type & Hours

Both FT and PT positions available. 

Morning Processors (AM)

7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday (8 hour shift) starting pay for AM shift is $18/hour

Night Processors (PM)

2 p.m. to 12 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays only (10 hour shift) starting pay for PM shift is $21/hour

Required Education and Experience

High School diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in agriculture or a production environment preferred.

Preferred Education and Experience

Food safety certification.
