Here we see two approaches to initial structural pruning, height reduction and selective branch removal to allow for increased sun penetration through canopy. Conducted at HUPC member’s farm, Mike Nakada, in February 2018. You will see 4-year-old Ma‘afala trees that had never been pruned before.
