Kasey Crispin
Kasey is our communications lead and is responsible for crafting our messaging across the many platforms we use to share what we do, why we do it, and how others can help us empower farmers across Hawai’i. She also manages our community events and various marketing campaigns. She has been working in food system development for the past decade and is passionate about what happens when small family farms collaborate for a healthier community. Kasey earned a B.A. in Psychology and Communications from UC Berkeley and has been steeped in the intersection of community health, small-scale organic farming, and impact marketing ever since.
Before the Cooperative
Prior to joining HUC, Kasey was co-founder of Prema Farm, a high country year-round farm in the Eastern Sierras, and Executive Director of Local Food Network, a Nevada-based nonprofit. Her efforts focused on consumer education and sales development for many small local farms, including her creation of the largest farmers market in Nevada.
Kasey’s favorite part of being a HUC team member.
I love working with people who are equally as passionate about restoring the wisdom of localized food systems.
Kasey’s hobbies and passions outside of work.
When I’m not at work or farming, I can be found playing with my daughters, offering bodywork, reading on the beach, or dancing to the best ’90s hits.
